Cancellation and Non-attendance

Cancellation Policy

It is important that adequate notice is given of cancellations so that your appointment can be offered to another patient. If you cancel an appointment with less than two full business days’ notice, the following cancellation fees will apply:

  • For a new patient a $220 cancellation fee will apply and no further appointments will be offered until this has been paid in full.
  • For patients currently receiving care, a $110 cancellation fee will apply.

Any patient who incurs two cancellation fees, will be charged up-front for all future appointments and will receive the Medicare rebate when they attend their appointment.

Non-attendance

Failure to attend, without notice, a confirmed appointment, will incur a non-attendance fee. A non-attendance fee is twice the corresponding cancellation fee.

Medicare rebates do not apply to non-attendance and cancellation fees.

Any patient who incurs three cancellation or non-attendance fees, will be charged up-front for all future appointments and will receive the Medicare rebate when they attend their appointment.

Patients who regularly cancel and/or fail to attend appointments risk being referred back to their GP for ongoing care.
